Extracting A CFG File

The first step in extracting a CFG file is to open the file with Notepad. Go through the CFG files and note the number of lines it has.

On a computer that has a CD ROM drive, you will see the text "FILE ENTRY". There are only two options here - to change the file extension or over write the existing file. Which you choose depends on your needs.

In order to change the CFG file extension, simply delete the text after the file extension. This is usually followed by one of these two letters. For example, if you have an existing file with the name CFG.CFG, then you can simply delete the word CFG. You will find that the extension for this new file is "CFG". Get more interesting details about open cfg file check this site.
